Leicester Language Academy has a small but vibrant student population and we support our students in a number of ways:

Student welfare officer

To help students with their arrival and day-to-day concerns, we have a student welfare officer as part of the Registry team who can help with any issues, particularly with immigration (visa), enrolment and registration issues as well as any pastoral concerns.

Accommodation services

We can help students find suitable rental or homestay accommodation (see Pre-Arrival Guide).


The Academy is equipped with free WiFi access to the Internet for personal as well as study purposes. The Academy has a homely atmosphere and space at the New Walk Centre means that we are limited as to the number of computers we can make available for students personal use. We advise that students should bring their own laptop or tablet devices when they enrol. We have specialists that will help you access all our services whilst you are studying with us.

We provide student quiet study area, as well as access to the University of Leicester the De Montfort University and Leicester public libraries.

Social programmes

The Academy regularly arranges trips to historic destinations and other places of interest, and students are encouraged to set up social groups and join together to create and share experiences.
